There are so many fun festivities and volunteer opportunities in LA for Thanksgiving — it may be hard to choose between them!

We’ve listed some of our favorite holiday events to help narrow down your options!

The Enchanted Forest of Light:

Descanso Gardens in La Cañada is one of the most beautiful botanical gardens in LA County. The nighttime experience there mixes art installations with luminescent forests and lovely, shimmering sound effects. The Enchanted path is about a mile long and it can get chilly at night, so we recommend bundling up and wearing comfy shoes! There are also several entertainment evenings within the next month including student performances and DJ sets on the lawn. It opens on November 17th, don’t miss out!

The Los Angeles Auto Show:

Beginning on November 22nd, and concluding on December 1st, the LA Auto Show is a convention for all. There are cars from all walks of life, different time periods, movie picture cars, and even brand new “cars of the future” being debuted at the show. There is something for everyone to enjoy. There are also celebrity meet-and-greets and people may even test drive some of the vehicles.

The Great Los Angeles Walk:

This special event happens every year on the Saturday before Thanksgiving. The walk is 18 miles long and usually lasts about 9 hours. You begin on one end of the city and end up on the opposite side. However, if that sounds too daunting of a task, you’re always welcome to jump in and out of the line wherever you please. No reservations are required, but an RSVP is appreciated!
